The town of Costa del Sol is set to become a major destination for cycling tourism with the upcoming ‘Marbella Cycling Weekend’. The event, scheduled for 14th, 15th, and 16th March, will feature three days of sports and activities.

Top Cyclists and Speakers to Grace the Event

The event will see the participation of 60 cyclists and renowned speakers, including ‘Purito’ Rodríguez, Olympic medallists María Vasco and Jose Antonio Hermida, and Javier Guillén, the general director of the Vuelta Ciclista a España. The initiative is spearheaded by Marbella’s professional cyclist, Luis Ángel Maté.

Lisandro Viyetes, the town’s sports councillor, emphasized Marbella’s climate and orography, with routes along the sea and in the mountains, as ideal for cycling. He expects the event to attract participants from across the country and beyond Spain.
