Marbella’s coastline is easy to explore when you choose a beach by location and current facilities rather than by a “best beach” ranking. Marbella Tourism’s official directory lists 24 beaches along about 27 kilometres of coast, including two dog beaches. Facilities and seasonal services vary, so check the official page for the beach you plan to visit before travelling.
Beaches by area
The municipality’s official beach catalogue is the reference for names and locations. It covers beaches and stretches including Guadalmina, Linda Vista, San Pedro, Cortijo Blanco, Puerto Banús, Río Verde, Casablanca, El Faro, La Fontanilla, Venus–Bajadilla, El Cable, El Realejo, La Víbora, Las Chapas, Artola–Cabopino and Calahonda. Use the catalogue to match a beach name to the access point you need; names and boundaries can be easy to confuse on maps.
Access and assisted bathing
Accessible facilities are beach-specific. For example, the official tourism page for La Bajadilla describes reserved parking, accessible paths, adapted toilets and showers, and assisted bathing facilities. Treat that as information for La Bajadilla, not a promise that every beach has the same provision. Check the named beach page before setting out.
Seasonal safety and water information
Lifeguard and beach-service arrangements are seasonal and may change by date, weather and beach. The municipality’s beaches topic page publishes current notices. For bathing-water information, check the Junta de Andalucía’s dated bathing-water status rather than relying on an evergreen claim.
Dogs, operators and local rules
The official tourism directory identifies two dog beaches. Rules, access times and facilities can change, so confirm the current notice before bringing a dog. Beach clubs, restaurants and water-sports operators are separate businesses; check each operator’s current opening hours, prices and conditions directly.
