Who controls your personal data
Marbella Daily is operated from Av. de las Golondrinas 39, 29688 Estepona, Spain. Contact: contact@marbelladaily.com or +34 642 912 879.
Data we may process
- Direct enquiries: your name, email address, telephone number if supplied, message, links and documents you choose to send.
- Corrections and editorial submissions: the information and evidence needed to assess the request and keep an editorial record.
- Comments and accounts: if these WordPress features are used, account or comment details, moderation data, IP address and browser information used for authentication, abuse prevention and security.
- Technical records: IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or device information and security events recorded by the website or hosting infrastructure.
- My Marbella preferences: selected areas, topics, notification interests and last-visit time are stored only in your browser. They are not an email or push subscription and are not sent to Marbella Daily by the current feature.
Purposes and legal bases
We process enquiries and correction requests to respond, verify information, maintain editorial accuracy and protect the publication and its readers. The bases are our legitimate interests in operating a responsible local publication, steps requested before a commercial arrangement, consent where specifically requested, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable. Account, comment and security data are used to provide requested features, moderate contributions, prevent abuse and secure the service.
Newsletter, analytics and advertising technology
The newsletter page is currently informational and does not activate a mailing-list subscription. Analytics dispatch, Google Site Kit, StatCounter and legacy Google Tag Manager code are disabled. Social distribution is in dry-run mode and no social account is connected. Non-essential tracking will not be enabled without updating this notice and, where required, obtaining consent.
Recipients and international transfers
Website and email infrastructure is supplied through Hostinger. Personal data may also be available to technical service providers only where necessary to host, secure, maintain or deliver the service, and to authorities where disclosure is legally required. We do not sell personal data. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we will require a lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.
How long data is kept
- General enquiries: up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Commercial enquiries: up to 24 months after the last contact, with invoices and legally required records retained for the applicable statutory period.
- Correction and editorial records: while relevant to the published material and for up to 24 months afterwards where needed for accountability or legal claims.
- Comments: while the associated content remains published or until a justified deletion request is accepted.
- Accounts: while active and for the limited period needed afterwards for security, dispute or legal requirements.
- Technical logs: for the shortest period needed for security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting, subject to the hosting provider’s secure rotation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and you may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email contact@marbelladaily.com and identify the request. We may need proportionate information to verify identity. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
Automated decisions and changes
Marbella Daily does not currently make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated processing. We may update this policy when the service or provider stack changes; the date above shows the current version.
