The luxurious Puerto Banús marina in Marbella is currently displaying the Poseidon sculpture, a large-scale artwork by Brazilian artist Marcos Marín. The sculpture is not just a visual spectacle but also carries a significant message about the need to protect our marine environment. The exhibition will run until the 28th of July.

The sculpture, described as a ‘kinetic totem’, is situated at the viewpoint of the nautical enclosure. It is set to tour various Mediterranean ports, with its next stop being Nice, France. Marín explained that the sculpture’s size appears to change depending on the viewing angles and lighting, offering spectators a variety of perspectives to appreciate.

Marín expressed his gratitude to the Prince Albert II de Monaco foundation for their patronage and contribution to the artwork. He described Puerto Banús as a port of immense beauty and an incredible setting for the sculpture. The artist emphasized that the sculpture embodies the environmental consciousness that everyone should adopt.
The Consul of Brazil’s Interpretation of the Artwork
Vera Cintia Álvarez, the consul of Brazil, interpreted the design of the work as a blend of dream and myth. She referred to the complexity of the sea, which the artist has successfully captured using carefully selected materials.
