Police Eviction and Removal of Equipment
The gym was reportedly closed down on a Friday, as per Marbella 24 Horas, following an eviction by the National Police. The eviction was carried out on behalf of the current owners of the Plaza del Mar shopping mall, where the gym is located. Social media videos revealed that gym equipment, including cycling machines and weights benches, were also removed from the premises.
Staff and Members Left in Limbo
The unexpected closure left both staff and members, including many British expats, stranded on the street, hoping for a resolution. The closure has impacted around 25 families, and the employees are now faced with the task of initiating a legal process to safeguard their jobs and incomes.

According to RTV Marbella, the shopping mall was previously owned by construction company Avila Rojas, but is now under the control of an investment fund.
