Hotel Guadalmina in San Pedro Alcántara to Undergo Major Renovation
The Hotel Guadalmina, located in San Pedro Alcántara, is set to undergo a significant renovation and expansion. The project, which is expected to cost 55 million euros, will also allow the hotel to upgrade its rating from four stars to a five-star luxury establishment. The renovation is expected to take a year and a half to complete.
Local Government Approves Renovation License
The Local Government Board has approved the construction license for this project, which will add a new luxury establishment to the municipality’s hotel sector. The Hotel Guadalmina was built in 1959 and was last renovated in 1999. Now, 24 years later, another transformation is set to take place, as announced by the City Council this morning.
Hotel to Increase Room Count and Space
Currently, the hotel has 178 rooms, but after the renovation, it will have an additional 70 rooms. Furthermore, 1,220 square meters will be added to the hotel’s space.
Modernization in Line with Other Hotels in the Municipality
This modernization joins those of other hotels in the municipality that have also improved their facilities or are in the process of doing so. These include Lima, Estrella del Mar, Los Monteros, El Fuerte, Pinomar, San Cristóbal, and Meliá Don Pepe.
