Marbella FC Unveils New Kits and Announces Stadium Plans
Marbella FC has showcased their new kits for the upcoming season. In addition, the town’s mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, has revealed that the new football stadium’s concession will be tendered at the end of August.
Public Exposure and Concession Grant
Mayor Muñoz explained that a one-month period is necessary for public exposure to ensure the community is aware of the project. The concession is expected to be granted in the coming months, allowing for the demolition and construction of the infrastructure to commence before the end of 2024.
Training Grounds and Future Plans
While the construction is underway, Marbella FC will train at the Dama de Noche facility for the next two seasons. The new stadium project anticipates an investment of between 115 and 130 million euros, funded by a private initiative, the Marbella FC foundation. The foundation even aspires for the stadium to be a sub-host for the 2030 World Cup in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
New Kits Presentation
Marbella FC took the opportunity to present their new kits during the announcement. Players José Callejón and Luis Acosta, along with goalkeepers Alberto Lejárraga and Daniel Solsky, modeled the new strips for the 2024-2025 season. The first kit will be white with blue and gold motifs, symbolizing the town’s sun and sea. The second will be blue, while the goalkeepers’ first kit will be black and the second red.
Municipal Sponsorship and Club’s Main Sponsor
The mayor expressed that it’s a great honor for the town to have a team in the 1st RFEF. The municipal sponsorship will not only be renewed for the third consecutive year but will also be increased for the next three seasons due to the promotion’s expected greater economic effort. The club’s main sponsor, Sierra Blanca, a leading real estate firm on the Costa del Sol, was also introduced.
Marbella FC’s Vision
Esteban Granero, the head of Marbella FC, reflected on the club’s journey. He emphasized the club’s commitment since 2018 to build an image that allows it to compete in the elite categories of Spanish football. He expressed pride in the club’s achievements but acknowledged that there is still much work to be done.
