PSOE Councilors Launch Valentine’s Day Carnation Distribution Campaign
Councilors from the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) were present this morning at Divina Pastora in Marbella. The PSOE has launched its annual Valentine’s Day carnation distribution campaign this Wednesday. According to Isabel Pérez, the spokesperson for the Socialist Municipal Group in the City Council, this initiative is a “friendly way to revisit the neighborhoods and greet the residents.”
Reconnecting with Residents on Valentine’s Day
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, this outreach activity is being carried out once again. It is one of many initiatives conducted throughout the year to stay connected with the residents and “understand their needs and demands firsthand.” Pérez stated, “At the PSOE, we have always considered it a priority to be with the neighborhoods and their people, and what better way to do it than by also offering them this small gesture, which has become a tradition for us.”
Addressing Municipal Needs and Demands
“We continue to advocate for the need to respond to the many demands that exist in the municipality, such as street repairs, cleaning, housing, etc., and that’s why we want to continue gathering all these needs firsthand,” said the spokesperson. She added that this is also a “protest day,” as with this campaign “we also want to demand that Ángeles Muñoz fulfill her promises to the neighborhoods and carry out all the investments she has been announcing.”
Campaign Kickoff and Future Plans
The campaign began in the morning in Miraflores, then moved on to Divina Pastora and Plaza de Toros, and in the afternoon to San Pedro Alcántara. Pérez reminded that for the PSOE, neighborhood works are “a priority,” and this has been demonstrated “when we have had the opportunity to govern and with the proposals we bring to the plenary being opposition,” concluded Pérez.
