Pablo González and María Narváez Triumph in Marbella Duathlon

Pablo González and María Narváez emerged as the winners of the Marbella City Duathlon held this Sunday. The senior version of the race saw 150 athletes compete in three stages of the competition.

Victory for González and Narváez

Pablo González, representing AD Sevilla, clinched the victory in the men’s category. On the other hand, María Narváez from X-Bike Nerja dominated the women’s category. The 23rd Marbella City Duathlon took place in the Nueva Alcántaran area, attracting over 150 athletes in the senior categories.

Details of the Race

The race consisted of a 5,000-meter run on the San Pedro Promenade, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and another 2,500-meter run around the promenade. In the men’s category, Pablo González set a pace that allowed him to distance himself from the rest of the competitors throughout the race. He led from start to finish, clocking a final time of 55 minutes and 50 seconds.

Podium Finishers

The men’s category podium was completed by José Miguel Jiménez from CT Tiburones de Estepona with a time of 57:08 and Daniel Aguirre from CD Playas de Puta Umbría with a final time of 57:10. In the women’s category, María Narváez from X-Bike Nerja emerged victorious. Irene Alcaide from Isbilya-Sloppy Joe’s came in second, closely followed by Ana María Rodríguez, also from Isbilya – Sloppy Joe’s.

Paraduathlon Winners

In the paraduathlon categories, local athlete Jorge Otalecu from the Serman Triathlon Marbella Group won the PTS7 with a time of 1:09:28. Antonio Franco from Triathlon Don Benito triumphed in PTS5.

Team Competition Winners

In the team competition, the men’s category was won by CT Tiburones de Estepona, followed by AD Sevilla and Montilla-Córdoba Triathlon. In the women’s category, Isbilya-Sloppy Joe’s took the victory, followed by TriTrain4you Málaga.

Organizers of the Event

The race was organized by C.D. Triathlon Marbella, with the support of the Marbella City Council and the Andalusian Triathlon Federation.
