Marbella Town Hall Initiates First Phase of Flood Mitigation Works
The Marbella town hall has embarked on the initial phase of a project aimed at addressing the persistent flooding issues in the Nueva Andalucía region of Marbella. The commencement of the project is marked by the initiation of works in the Urbanización Marbella Country Club.
Revamping Infrastructure to Tackle Flooding
The project involves a comprehensive overhaul of the infrastructure along the El Ángel stream bed. This includes the installation of a new pipeline for wastewater and another for rainwater. These new pipelines are set to replace the existing one, which has been a constant source of problems due to frequent blockages.
Second Phase of the Project to Commence in October
The second phase of this ambitious project, which is expected to impact approximately 1,500 residents in areas such as Costabella, El Rosario, and Hacienda Las Chapas, is slated to kick off in October.
