Recruitment Begins for New Luxury Restaurant in Marbella
The Dani García and Mosh groups have initiated a recruitment drive to fill 200 positions at their upcoming luxury restaurant, Motel. The restaurant is set to open its doors in July and will be located in the former Aresbank building in Marbella.
‘Talent Day’ Kicks Off Recruitment Process
The recruitment process began during a ‘talent day’ conference on 3 April. Recruiters started the process of identifying and engaging with potential future employees for various roles in the new establishment. These roles include positions in the kitchen, dining room, bar, front of house, and cleaning service. Those who missed the event can attend the next one scheduled for mid-May.
Criteria for the Perfect Candidate
According to talent manager Sandra López, there are no specific prerequisites in terms of training or languages for the ideal candidate. However, basic skills will be valued. The selected candidates will be offered a fixed-term contract in line with the hotel and catering trade agreement. This contract will also include the bonus of tips and the service charge. López emphasized that the company values diversity and inclusion.
Interviews: A Conversation, Not an Interrogation
López described the interview process as a conversation about interests and skills, rather than a traditional interrogation. The company selects individuals based on their values and potential. Once hired, the new employees will receive training.
Work Begins in June
The selected candidates will start their roles in June, a month before the restaurant’s planned opening. However, if a candidate wishes to start immediately, they will be placed in other businesses of the group, such as the expanding Leña restaurant.
Motel’s Unique Concept
Motel will be led by Peruvian chef Cesar Alonso Bellido. He described the restaurant as a unique concept, blending fusion with influences from various geographical locations, including Peru. The menu will feature a wide variety of dishes, including yakitoris, tempuras, crudos, and an extensive selection of sushi. The aim is to transport customers to different scenes and places through their dining experience.
