Anglican Church of San Pedro Alcántara and Sotogrande Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Special Events
The Anglican Church of San Pedro Alcántara and Sotogrande is set to commemorate its golden jubilee with a series of special events in the coming months. The milestone celebration recently kicked off with 25 members of the English-speaking Christian community embarking on the Ruta Arqueológica, a historical journey that forms part of the church’s Walk and Talk series.
Exploring Local History with the Ruta Arqueológica
Guided by Salvador Gómez from the San Pedro town hall, the group delved into the area’s rich history. Their exploration included a visit to the Termas de las Bóvedas Roman baths and one of the historic lookout towers. The journey culminated in a scenic beach walk to the Basílica Paleocristiana de Vega del Mar, one of the oldest Christian churches on the Iberian Peninsula, dating from the third to the eighth century.
Accessible Walks for Everyone
The walks are designed to be leisurely, ensuring they are accessible to all. More information about upcoming events can be found on the church’s Facebook page: Anglican Church of Costa del Sol West.
