Tragic Accident Claims Life on A-7 Motorway Near Marbella
A fatal accident occurred on the A-7 motorway near Marbella on the Costa del Sol, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old man. The unfortunate incident was reported by the emergency services coordination centre 112 Andalucía.
Details of the Incident
The accident took place at Puerto Banús, on the Estepona-bound carriageway, around 8.50pm on Sunday, 13 October. The 112 emergency line operators received a distress call about a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle and was trapped underneath it.
Emergency Response
Upon receiving the distress call, the control centre staff promptly dispatched a mobile intensive care ambulance, Guardia Civil traffic police, and the Marbella fire brigade to the accident site.
Victim Declared Dead at the Scene
Despite the immediate response and efforts of the medical professionals, they were unable to save the life of the victim. The man was declared dead at the scene, marking a tragic end to the incident.
