One woman was taken into custody as part of the extensive operation conducted under Plan Marbella, a campaign aimed at combatting serious and organized crime in the Costa del Sol.
The runaway, wanted under a European arrest warrant, bolted through a checkpoint and collided with three cars, a police car, and a bus on the Costa del Sol while attempting to evade capture.
Following a tense confrontation in San Pedro Alcántara, a National Police negotiator successfully persuaded the individual to surrender the oversized bladed weapon.
The vehicle, equipped with an eCall system, seems to have been the one to reach out to the 112 operators, automatically triggering the emergency services in case of an accident.
During the operation, there was a significant presence of National Police officers, which included air support in the form of a helicopter flying over the area.
According to reports, the two suspects reportedly attacked the officers after informing them that they had no intention of ending the party at the holiday flat.
