Four adolescents have been apprehended for purportedly hurling stones at moving vehicles on a highway in Marbella. Numerous drivers reached out to the police to report the incident, which allegedly resulted in the shattering of windows on at least two cars on Monday, 4 December.
The local Marbella Police identified the four suspects, all minors aged between 13 and 15. Reports began to flood in around 10 am, with witnesses claiming the minors were throwing rocks near the La Cañada shopping centre and the Trapiche bridge. A lorry driver reported that his vehicle’s window had been shattered. The case is currently being handled by the juvenile prosecutor’s office.
This incident follows a similar one last month where the National Police identified two minors in Malaga city for allegedly throwing stones at buses. The Malaga transport company (EMT) lodged a complaint with the police after two of their buses on Line 17 were targeted with stones as they travelled along Calle Doctor Muguerza Bernal on 18 and 19 November. The damage, which included several shattered windows, amounted to 2,000 euros. On 21 November, officers apprehended two minors in the act, allegedly preparing to throw stones at an EMT bus in La Palmilla.
