Marbella to Host National Open Wheelchair Tennis Once Again

Marbella is set to host the National Open Wheelchair Tennis tournament once again. The Paco Cantos Sports Centre will be the venue for the XVI National Open City of Marbella next week. The event will bring together some of the best players from the national circuit and for the third consecutive year, it will feature a women’s draw. The competition will kick off on Thursday, March 21.

Details of the XVI Edition of the National Open Wheelchair Tennis

Marbella is preparing to host a new edition of the National Open Wheelchair Tennis. This XVI edition will take place from March 21 to 24 at the Paco Cantos Sports Centre and will once again feature a women’s draw for the third consecutive year. Once again, the best national rackets will meet at this National Open City of Marbella Wheelchair Tennis. The competition will feature up to four players from the national Top-10.

Top Players to Watch Out For

The number one seed of the tournament, and winner of the last edition, will be Francesc Prat, currently Top-5 nationally and one of the favorites to win the final victory. Mario Roque, currently Top-7 nationally, will be the number 2 seed; Arturo Montes (Top-9) will be the number four seed and the national Top-10 Jorge Iglesias will be the number 4 seed.

Local Players to Compete in the National Open

As for the local players, Javier Sánchez Alba and Juan Manuel Ramos will compete again in this National Open. These players have a long sports career with numerous titles in their record. The tournament director, Iván González, invites all sports fans to attend the Paco Cantos to enjoy the competition that will start on Thursday, March 21 at 4:00 p.m.
