Marbella’s Jesús Ríos Dominates at FIM Junior GP World Championship

Marbella’s own Jesús Ríos made a stunning debut at the FIM Junior GP World Championship, winning both races held at the Misano circuit in Italy. Ríos dominated the competition on a Moto 3, and also secured the pole position, marking an unbeatable start to his international season that promises to be highly promising.

Impressive Start to the Season for Jesús Ríos

This spectacular start to the season for Marbella’s Jesús Ríos comes just two weeks after he celebrated two victories at the Spanish Championship. He has now replicated this success at the start of the Junior GP World Championship. Ríos was the dominant force at the Misano circuit in Italy, where he perfectly adapted to his KTM to claim two victories in two closely contested races among six or seven riders.

Ríos Shows Early Dominance

From Saturday, Jesús Ríos began to show his prowess, securing the pole position in a first success that was a precursor to what would come on Sunday. In the first race, he was the best at the finish line, ahead of Italian Alessandro Morosi and fellow Spaniard Marcos Uriarte, who came third. Ríos maintained between the second and third position throughout the race, and in the final laps, he managed to overtake his rivals to secure a great victory.

Second Victory for Ríos

Jesús Ríos also won the second race, this time with Spaniard Adrián Cruces coming second and New Zealander Cormac Buchanan completing the podium. He had a beautiful duel with Cruces, whom he ended up surpassing, as well as with other riders such as Irishman Casey O’Gorman, among others. The MRE Talent rider demonstrated his mastery by overtaking his rivals at the precise moment to take both victories.

Next Stop: Estoril Circuit

The next event, with only one race, will be at the Estoril circuit in Portugal on May 5. Two weeks ago, Jesús Ríos made his debut in the Spanish Superbike Championship, where he competes in the new RFM BeOn Junior Cup category. He won the first two races held at the Ángel Nieto circuit in Jerez de la Frontera.
