CEM Dominates Female Veteran B Podium
The entire podium for the Female Veteran B category was claimed by the Marbella Climbing Club (CEM). The club had an intense sporting weekend at the Cabo de Gata Natural Park in Almería.
CEM’s Successful Weekend at the Andalusian Cup
In addition to contributing runners to the regional teams, the club’s walkers also competed in the third event of the Andalusian Cup 2024. Juan Carlos Cabello emerged victorious, contributing to the club’s total of eleven podium finishes.
Unmissable Event for Andalusian Nordic Walkers
The Andalusian Nordic walkers had an unmissable event last weekend at the Cabo de Gata Natural Park in Almería. The Marbella Climbing Club travelled there to compete in the third event of the Andalusian Cup 2024 for Nordic walking, named “VI Nordic Walk Olegario Lozano City of Almería”.
CEM’s Excellent Performance at the Andalusian Cup
CEM brought a total of 20 walkers who delivered an excellent performance at the Andalusian event. On the day of the event, participants had to complete four laps of a demanding circuit to cover the 12.8 kilometers of the race.
Juan Carlos Cabello Emerges Victorious
The star of the event was runner Juan Carlos Cabello, who claimed victory with a time of 1 hour, 19 minutes, and 2 seconds. Other first-place winners in their respective categories included Miguel Ángel Rueda (Veteran A), Juan Prieto (Veteran C), Paloma Izquierdo (Veteran B), and Rebecca Rosenmuller (Junior).
Other Podium Finishers
Also making it to the podium were Elisa Esteban (2nd in Veteran B), Ana Herrera (3rd in Veteran B), Patricia Cabello (2nd in Veteran C), and María Luisa Acuña (2nd in Veteran D).
Young Athletes Shine
In the category of young athletes, who completed two laps of the demanding circuit covering 6.8 kilometers, Lucas Gámez claimed the 1st position and his teammate Alejandro Moreno secured the 2nd position, both in the male cadet category. Manu Lobato topped the Male Alevín category.
