Costa del Sol Dominates Spain’s Top 50 Most Expensive Property Locations
A recent study by real estate portal Idealista has revealed that four areas in the Costa del Sol are among Spain’s top 50 most expensive places to buy a house. The Costa del Sol, a region known for its stunning beaches and luxurious lifestyle, continues to attract property buyers despite its high prices.
Marbella Tops the List in Andalucia
Marbella, a city renowned for its glamour and luxury, has been identified as the most expensive place for property buyers in Andalucia, and the 9th most expensive in Spain. The cost of a square metre in this municipality is now €4,138, marking an increase of over 14% compared to the same period last year when it was around €3,558.
Nerja, Estepona and Fuengirola Rank High
The towns of Nerja, Estepona and Fuengirola have also made it to the list, ranking 30th, 31st and 32nd respectively. Property buyers interested in these towns will face prices of €3,100, €2,993 and €2,936 per square metre respectively.
Estepona: The 30th Most Expensive Town in Spain
Estepona, a town known for its beautiful beaches and charming old town, has been ranked as the 30th most expensive town to buy a house in Spain. This ranking further cements Costa del Sol’s reputation as a high-end property hotspot.
Two More Andalucian Towns Make the Top 50
In addition to the four Costa del Sol towns, two other Andalucian towns have made it into the Top 50. Conil in Cadiz was ranked 44th with house prices of €2,683/m2, while Benalmadena in Malaga came in 45th with houses priced around €2,679/m2. This shows that Andalucia, with its rich history and beautiful landscapes, continues to be a sought-after location for property buyers.
