Completion of Modernisation Project in Los Catalanes, San Pedro Alcántara
The modernisation and revitalisation project of six streets in the Los Catalanes area of San Pedro Alcántara, located on the Costa del Sol, has been successfully completed. The project, which saw an investment of 1.8 million euros, was funded by water company Hidralia.
Mayor of Marbella Visits the Revitalised Area
Ángeles Muñoz, the Mayor of Marbella, recently visited the renovated area. The project involved a complete overhaul of the sanitation, telecommunications infrastructures, and street furniture. Muñoz expressed her commitment to continue supporting projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
Third Phase of Improvements in the Town Centre
Accompanied by Javier García, the deputy mayor of San Pedro, Muñoz revealed that this was the third phase of improvements in the town centre. The project was implemented in Calles Almendro, Naranjos, Peral, Monda, Vejer, and Campillos, and included the provision of integral drainage networks in all the streets.
Pedestrian-Friendly Streets and Renewed Lighting
The newly renovated streets now prioritise pedestrians over vehicles, a design that Muñoz stated aligns more with the needs of the residents. In addition to this, all the street lighting has been renewed.
Minimising Inconvenience for Residents
Despite the complexity of the project and the high number of residents in the area, the commitment was to minimise the inconvenience as much as possible. Muñoz concluded by expressing satisfaction with the successful completion of the project.
