Marbella to Host the 51st National Congress of Public Parks and Gardens
Marbella has been chosen as the host city for the 51st National Congress of Public Parks and Gardens (PARJAP), the leading event in the sector. The announcement was made at the event that concluded today in Pamplona, which saw the participation of over 500 people.
Significant Tree Felling in the Municipality
The municipality has witnessed extensive tree felling. PARJAP serves as a meeting forum for public administration technical staff, maintenance and conservation company managers, consultants, gardening companies, university students or vocational training students, and individuals interested in the sector.
Marbella’s Representation at the Current Edition
In the current edition being held in Pamplona, Marbella is represented by the sector’s responsible advisor, Eloy Ortega. The meeting features national and international specialists from France, Italy, Australia, and Germany, as well as various autonomous communities and Spanish municipalities.
Marbella’s Green Initiatives Highlighted
According to the City Council, the designation highlighted “the maintenance, conservation, and increase of green areas and urban trees” carried out by the government team. However, the reality is that indiscriminate tree felling has been a major issue for many years in the municipality, with complete disregard for the green heritage.
50th PARJAP Congress in Pamplona Concludes
