Marbella Town Hall Approves Expansion of Historic Bullring Auditorium
The Marbella town hall has given the green light for the expansion of the auditorium at the historic Puerto Banús bullring. The project, which is set to cost around six million euros, is a significant step in the ongoing development of the venue.
Marbella Arena: A Revival Story
The Marbella Arena, as it is now known, was reopened in August 2019 after being closed for eight years. The revival of the venue was carried out in two phases, with a total expenditure of 30 million euros. This included the installation of a large awning, allowing the venue to host events during the winter months.
Teatro Goya Group: The Custodians of the Venue
The entertainment and sporting venue is owned by the Teatro Goya group. Currently, the venue boasts an audience capacity of 5,300. This includes 1,200 seats at the ground level, with the remaining seats located in the stands. The expansion project is expected to further enhance the venue’s capacity and appeal.
