Plácido Domingo to Perform at the 2021 Starlite Marbella Concert
The thirteenth edition of the Starlite festival in Marbella, set to take place this coming summer, has added a new concert to its eclectic musical lineup. Tenor Plácido Domingo will once again grace the stage at the Nagüeles Quarry, a venue he helped discover for its unique acoustics.
Lineup for the 2024 Edition of the Music Event in Marbella Continues to Grow
The lineup for the 2024 edition of this music event in Marbella, which is celebrating its 13th year, continues to grow. Plácido Domingo’s presence has been confirmed once again, and he will perform on Tuesday, August 13th. The tenor was one of the discoverers of the acoustics of the Nagüeles Quarry back in the 80s, long before the festival was held there.
Plácido Domingo’s Fourth Appearance at the Event
This will be Domingo’s fourth appearance at the event, having previously performed in 2015, 2021, and 2022. On the last occasion, he shared the stage with Ainhora Arteta. Domingo’s repertoire spans over 150 roles and more than 4,400 performances during his extensive career of over half a century. He is known as one of the finest and most influential singing actors in the history of opera, and he himself explains that the more he has studied, traveled, and performed, the deeper his love for music has become.
