Marbella’s Olympic Karate Club Contributes to National Team’s Success
The Marbella club contributed three of its karatekas to the national team, with Carla Bredoux and Julieta Álvarez winning the silver medal in the team kata event, and Elsey Yagudin securing the bronze in the cadet category. The three representatives from Olympic Karate Marbella were part of the Spanish team that competed in Tbilisi, showcasing their skills on a European stage.
Europe’s Promising Karatekas Gather in Georgia’s Capital
The championship in Georgia’s capital saw the continent’s most promising karatekas compete in the European Championship across cadet, junior, and under-21 categories. Julieta Álvarez, Carla Bredoux, and Elisey Yagudin represented the national team, each shining brightly in the European competition and making it to the podium.

After an excellent tournament, the female kata team, composed of Marbella’s Julieta Álvarez and Carla Bredoux, along with their teammates Cristina Rubio and Alba Ruiz, had an extraordinary run, ultimately winning the silver medal.

This wasn’t the only medal for the Marbella delegation at the European Championship. Elisey Yagudin had a brilliant tournament, ultimately winning the bronze medal in the cadet category for katas.

The young national karate team had a fantastic tournament, winning a total of six medals in a championship that saw a high level of competition from all participants. The club is extremely proud of its athletes’ achievements in this tournament and is excited about the bright future they have ahead.
