Marbella Mayor Tours Middle East to Promote Municipality

After her past travels to China and New York, the Mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, has now embarked on a tour of the Middle East to promote her municipality. According to the City Council, her first stop was Kuwait, where she attended a reception at the Spanish Embassy, in collaboration with the Spanish Luxury Association.

Kuwait: The Starting Point of the Middle East Tour

Kuwait, located in the Persian Gulf, is the starting point of the tour, which the City Council refers to as the “Arab countries” tour. The tour will continue in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, near the Red Sea. Muñoz highlighted the municipality’s excellence as the “ideal destination to visit, acquire a second home, and invest.”

Commercial Delegation to Promote Marbella

The commercial delegation, driven by the City Council in collaboration with the Spanish Luxury Association, includes various hotel establishments from Marbella. According to the press release, about fifteen work meetings with sector agencies and other promotional events are planned in both Kuwait and the Saudi city of Jeddah.

Spanish Ambassador and Kuwaiti Royal Family Welcome Muñoz

The mayor was received by the Spanish ambassador in Kuwait, Miguel José Moro, at an event that also included members of the Kuwaiti Royal Family. Members of the Spanish Luxury Association, led by honorary president Beatriz de Orleans, as well as businesspeople, representatives of travel agencies, and media from the Arab country, were also present.

Kuwaiti Market’s Enthusiasm for Marbella

Muñoz emphasized that the Kuwaiti market’s enthusiasm for Marbella is evident in the number of tourists from this country visiting the municipality, as well as the interest of investors deciding to buy homes in the town. She recalled that Marbella’s connection with Kuwait dates back to the early 1980s when Kuwaitis first began investing in the Spanish economy and discovered Marbella.

Marbella: A Benchmark of Excellence and Quality

The mayor also stressed that the city is a benchmark of excellence and quality, with a privileged tourist offer, which has positioned us as a unique destination, thanks to the hard work between the City Council and the private sector. She also indicated that they hope to continue to have the support of Kuwait and the Arab countries and that the union between all will continue to grow. In this regard, she highlighted that 90 percent of Kuwaiti tourists who visit Spain choose Marbella as their destination, being also the Middle Eastern country that acquires the most properties in the city.
