Marino Villar Shines at the Cordoba Provincial Championship

Marino Villar has once again made a name for himself at the Cordoba Provincial Championship. The race, held in Villanueva de Cordoba, saw the Marbella-born driver climb the podium in both rounds of the race, securing his position as the champion of his MX2-Elite category.

Villar Participates in the Spanish Championship

In addition to his success in Cordoba, Villar also participated in the third round of the Spanish Championship, overcoming various obstacles. Villar continues to immerse himself in various competitions, racing almost every weekend.

Victory at the First Cordoba Provincial Championship

At the first round of the Cordoba Provincial Championship, also held in Villanueva de Cordoba, Villar claimed victory. The race took place on March 10, with Villar delivering an outstanding performance to win the MX2-Elite category. He achieved the best time in the timed training for this category and secured second place in the mixed general category, which also includes MX1 drivers.

Busy Season for Villar

The competition doesn’t rest, and the past weekend marked the sixth consecutive weekend that the Marbella-born driver competed. The season has certainly started with a packed schedule for the young Villar.

Participation in the Spanish MX Elite Championship

The latest race Villar participated in was the third round of the Spanish MX Elite Championship, held in the municipality of Malpartida in Caceres. The race saw up to 43 drivers in the 125 cc category.

Challenges Faced by Villar

Villar didn’t have a good start in the Caceres race, only managing to achieve the 17th best time in training. He didn’t have a bad start in the first round, but couldn’t surpass the 17th position. He managed to overtake two drivers in the last curve but collided with a rival, causing him to fall and injure his wrist, which he had fractured the previous year. Despite this, the young Marbella-born driver showed courage and finished the race in 18th position.

Villar’s Performance in Sunday’s Race

In Sunday’s race, Villar was eager to prove that he can be among the best national drivers, despite waking up with a severe headache and discomfort in his wrist that affected his driving. Despite these challenges, Villar had a good start and managed to maintain the 11th position for most of the race. However, the last few laps were difficult for him as he wasn’t feeling well. He eventually finished in 12th place.

Upcoming Race for Villar

After this race, there will be a three-week break before the next race in which Villar will participate. This will be the third round of the Andalusian Championship, taking place on April 14 in the town of Almonte, Huelva.
