Olympic Karate Marbella Secures Five Medals in Ávila

The Olympic Karate Marbella team bagged a total of five medals in Ávila. Last weekend, the team travelled to the town of Ávila to participate in the first round of the National League. The Marbella club managed to secure a total of five medals: two golds, one silver, and two bronzes. This achievement marks another success for Olympic Karate Marbella as they kick off the season on a high note.

First Round of National Karate League Held in Ávila

The San Antonio Municipal Pavilion in Ávila hosted the first round of the National Karate League last weekend. Olympic Karate Marbella attended the event with a strong representation of young karatekas. The Marbella club managed to secure a total of five medals (2 golds, 1 silver, and 2 bronzes), finishing in third position in the men’s medal table, thus confirming its status as one of the best nurseries in the country.

Thrilling Finals in the Youth Category

The final in the youth category was particularly exciting, featuring a head-to-head duel between two Marbella natives, Ian Álvarez and Thiago Leal. After seven thrilling rounds, Álvarez secured the gold medal, while Leal finished with a commendable silver medal.

Success in the Children’s Category

In the children’s category, Zeyn Muller managed to outperform his rivals and clinch the gold medal. Meanwhile, fellow Marbella native Leo Martínez finished in the children’s category with a bronze medal.

Last Medal for Marbella Club Secured by Zeku Muller

The last medal for the Marbella club was secured by Zeku Muller in the junior category. The karateka from Olympic Karate Marbella managed to secure a bronze medal. Despite not being able to secure a medal, Sandra Ríoz put on a great performance in the youth category, narrowly missing out on the final and finishing in a respectable fifth place.
