Marbella’s Municipal Cinema Area Launches Winter Season
The Municipal Cinema Area of Marbella’s City Council’s Culture Department is set to kick off its winter season this Wednesday, February 7, extending until April 2. The program, which features ten titles, is designed to complement the commercial cinema offerings.
Quality Independent Programming
Carmen Díaz, the General Director of the sector in Marbella, highlighted that the proposal includes the two usual activities, Cineclub Buñuel and Special Cinephiles, along with quality independent programming.
Screening Schedule and Locations
The Cineclub Buñuel screenings will take place at 8:00 PM at the IES Río Verde (Notario Luis Oliver Street, 18) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and at the Municipal Music Center of San Pedro Alcántara (Liberty Square) on Fridays. The Special Cinephiles screenings will be held at the same facilities in Marbella on Mondays at 8:00 PM, and in San Pedro on Tuesdays at 9:00 PM.
Dubbed Film Lineup
Five films will be screened in dubbed versions, starting with ‘The Two Faces of Justice’ by Jeanne Herry (February 7 and 8 in Marbella and February 9 in San Pedro Alcántara). This will be followed by ‘The Sun of the Future’ by Nanni Moretti, ‘Stroke of Luck’ by Woody Allen, ‘Past Lives’ by Celine Song, and ‘The Old Oak’ by Ken Loach.
Original Version Film Lineup
The original version programming will include the films ‘Godland’ by Hlymur Pálmason, ‘Falcon Lake’ by Charlotte Le Bon, ‘Passages’ by Ira Sachs, ‘Monster’ by Hirozaku Kore-eda, and ‘Among the Fig Trees’ by Erige Sehiri.
