Labrador Shines at the XII International Open of Adapted Swimming in Castilla y León
Javier Labrador, a swimmer from Marbella and member of the Kronos Swimming Club Mijas, has made a remarkable performance at the XII International Open of Adapted Swimming in Castilla y León. Labrador emerged as the best competitor of the event, amassing a total of 1,108 points.
Four Gold Medals for Labrador
Labrador’s success was marked by the four gold medals he won in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, and 200 Individual Medley events. His victories contributed to his overall score, making him the top swimmer of the competition.
The Event at Piscina Río Esgueva in Valladolid
The Piscina Río Esgueva in Valladolid hosted the XII International Open of Adapted Swimming in Castilla y León last weekend. The event saw the participation of over 150 swimmers from across the country, including some Paralympians aiming for the minimum qualifying times for the Paris Olympics.
Labrador’s Outstanding Performance
Javier Labrador attended the event with high spirits, ready to compete for victory in the various events he participated in. He managed to reach the top of the podium in all of them. In the 50 Freestyle, Labrador claimed his first gold medal with a time of 27.11. He also triumphed in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:08.95.
Continued Success in Other Events
Labrador maintained his high performance throughout the competition, also securing gold in the 100 Breaststroke and 200 Individual Medley with times of 1:16.76 and 2:32.81, respectively. This confirmed his excellent form and helped him clinch the overall championship by being the best swimmer with a total of 1,108 points, one more than the second-placed competitor.
