The twelfth annual ‘Marea Rosa’ or ‘Pink Wave’ solidarity walk took place in Marbella last Sunday. On the same day as the solidarity walk, Kika Caracuel, a Marbella councillor and the fourth vice-president of the Diputación provincial authority, revealed that she had recently undergone surgery for breast cancer. The tumor was detected during a routine scan, further highlighting the importance of early diagnosis.
