Costa del Voley Juniors Crowned Champions of Andalusia
The junior men’s team of Costa del Voley has claimed the Andalusian Championship this weekend, defeating Mintonette Almería in the final with a score of 3-1. The Marbella team had an impressive tournament, winning all their matches and securing a spot in the next edition of the Spanish Championship for the second consecutive year.
Impressive Weekend for CD Costa del Voley
The final phase of the Andalusian Championship (CADEBA) in the junior category was held at the Municipal Dani Pacheco de Pizarra, where CD Costa del Voley had a standout performance. The men’s team of the club arrived at the event with a solid team, having had a great regular season where several of their players also had playing time with the first team.
Costa del Voley’s Journey to the Championship
Costa del Voley was placed in group B along with Cádiz 2012, Fuentes Andalucía (Sevilla), and CV Bailén (Jaén). The Marbella team began their journey by defeating the team from Cádiz with a score of 3-1. In the following two matches, the team continued their winning streak, defeating the team from Sevilla 3-1 and the team from Jaén 3-0. This led the team, coached by Pepe Manzano, to reach the semi-finals as the group leader.
Costa del Voley’s Battle for the Final
In the fight for a spot in the final, Costa del Voley managed to defeat a strong team from the University of Granada, a Superliga 2 team, with a score of 3-2 after a comeback attempt by the Granada team. This victory not only secured their place in the CADEBA final but also qualified the Marbella team for the Spanish Championship, where Costa del Voley will be participating for the second consecutive year.
