Charity auction at La Sala Banús in Marbella raises 1,300 euros for 'group of women transformed by their children'

Charity Auction Raises Funds for Women’s Support Group

In a recent charity auction hosted at La Sala Banús in Marbella, the Elena Gaite Foundation successfully raised over 1,300 euros. The funds were donated to La Luciérnaga con Luz Propia, a self-described collective of women who have been transformed by their children.

Donation to Aid in Grief Support and Training

Rosa María Martínez, the vice-president of La Luciérnaga con Luz Propia, accepted the donation at a ceremony attended by representatives from both charities. Also present were Rodolphe Combes, the owner of La Sala Banús, and Esther Ráez, CEO of the Comunicación y Creatividad Brutal public relations agency. Martínez stated that the funds will be used to further train its members, ensuring they can provide optimal support during the grieving process.

Supporting First-Time Parents and Bereaved Families

While the group offers guidance to couples navigating parenthood for the first time, it also extends companionship and mutual support to families grieving the loss of a child.

Elena Gaite Foundation’s Mission

The Elena Gaite Foundation was founded with the goal of promoting charity initiatives that raise funds for various social organisations and NGOs. Among the beneficiaries are the Cudeca Foundation, Debra Piel de Mariposa (butterfly children), and Avoi child cancer charity. The foundation also aims to secure professional and financial backing for projects related to patient care, palliative care, and support for cancer patients and their families.
