Championship Weekend in Marbella: Padel Teams Battle for Top Honors
The men’s first category champion team, Cerrado del Águila, and La Volea emerged victorious in a thrilling weekend of padel in Marbella. The Andalusian Padel Championship for Absolute Teams of 1st and 2nd category brought together over 400 athletes at Nueva Alcántara. The second category was dominated by Nueva Alcántara and Feel Center.
Over 400 Athletes Compete in Andalusian Padel Championship
More than 400 athletes, divided into 30 teams, gathered at the facilities of Nueva Alcántara Club to compete in the Andalusian Championship for Absolute Teams of 1st and 2nd category. In the first category, the team from Cerrado del Águila club managed to surpass their previous performance and emerged as the champions.
Cerrado del Águila and La Volea Huelva Emerge Victorious
In the women’s draw, the team from La Volea Huelva repeated their victory. The team from Huelva clearly dominated their debut in the competition against the Club de Tenis y Padel La Capellanía and defeated the Club de Tenis Oromana Sipadel in the final.
Three Teams Relegated to Second Category
The fight for survival in the men’s first category ended with victories for Río Grande Sipadel and La Red XXI Padel Center. Both teams defeated their respective opponents, leading to their relegation to the second category. In the women’s draw, the only team to be relegated was the Figueroa club, which was defeated by La Quinta.
Nueva Alcántara and Feel Center Reign in Promotion Celebration
In the men’s second category, the host team from Nueva Alcántara and Padel Team Almuñécar achieved their goal of promotion. The team from Marbella started with a clear victory over Feel Center Padel and confirmed their place in the final against Padel Utrera. In the women’s draw, Feel Center Padel climbed to the final after a clear victory over the Real Club Pineda de Sevilla.
Two Teams Relegated to Third Category
There were only relegations in the men’s draw. Feel Center Padel, defeated by Padel Dos Hermanas, and R2 Club de Padel Itálica, defeated by Prodigy Land, lost their category and will play next year in the third category.
