Antena 3 Unveils New Series Set in 1980s Marbella
Antena 3 has introduced its new series, ‘Eva & Nicole’, set in the Marbella of the 1980s. The series was presented at the Malaga Festival and features Belén Rueda and Hiba Abouk in leading roles. The drama, created by Daniel Écija, tells the story of two powerful women from the Marbella jet set who find themselves at odds in the 1980s. The production draws inspiration from the legendary queen of nightclubs, Olivia Valère. The release date is yet to be announced, but the trailer has been made public in line with the presentation at the Spanish Film Festival in Malaga.
Belén Rueda and Hiba Abouk Star in ‘Eva & Nicole’
Actresses Belén Rueda and Hiba Abouk portray Nicole and Eva respectively, two high-class women from Marbella who end up clashing over a shared past in which they were once friends. However, their love for the same man caused their worlds to diverge, and now one of them is seeking revenge. The cast also includes actors such as Belinda Washington, Andrés Velencoso, Ricardo Pereira, Oliver Ruano, and Gonzalo de Castro, among others.
‘Eva & Nicole’: A Glimpse into the Glamorous 80s Marbella
‘Eva & Nicole’, consisting of eight 50-minute episodes, is set in the Marbella of the 1980s, during the heyday of the Marbella jet set, when Hollywood stars would stroll through the city every summer. In this context, Nicole has become one of the most powerful women in the city, ruling the Marbella nightlife and owning the trendiest nightclub. Her character is reminiscent of Olivia Valère, although the story is fictional.
A Blast from the Past Shakes Up Nicole’s Life
Everything changes in Nicole’s life when a ghost from the past, Eva, suddenly re-enters her life. The rivalry between these two women dates back to their time in Paris in 1972, when Nicole hired Eva as a waitress and introduced her to the world of nightlife. They started a friendship until the arrival of Manuel, a handsome man who caught both their attention.

‘Eva & Nicole’ is a production of Atresmedia TV in collaboration with Good Mood. Montse García and Daniel Écija are the executive producers of this drama from the Series Atresmedia label, which will be directed by David Molina, Antonio Hernández, and Álvaro Vicario.
