Tragic Drowning Incident Claims Life of Toddler in Marbella
In a tragic incident that unfolded on Tuesday, 18th February 2025, a three-year-old child lost their life in a swimming pool accident in Marbella, a town in Costa del Sol. The unfortunate event was confirmed by the staff of the 112 Andalucía emergency control room.
Emergency Services Alerted to Distress Call
The emergency control room operators received a distress call at 3.40pm, indicating that a minor had been retrieved from the swimming pool of a residence situated in Calle Eagle, within the Santa Clara Golf area of the town.
Swift Response from Emergency Services
Upon receiving the distress call, the coordination centre promptly activated the 061 health emergency service, along with the National Police and the Local Police force.
Efforts to Save Child’s Life Prove Unsuccessful
Despite the immediate response and the best efforts of the medical team on the scene, the child could not be saved. The child’s death was later confirmed by sources from the health service.
