In a significant crackdown on counterfeit goods, the National Police have apprehended 40 individuals in Marbella. The suspects are believed to be involved in a crime against industrial property. The operation led to the seizure of over 14,000 fake items from a local street market in the Costa del Sol town.

The arrested individuals were allegedly selling counterfeit goods from their market stalls. Along with the counterfeit products, the police also confiscated 8,300 euros in cash, according to a statement from the National Police.

The operation, dubbed ‘Almerca2’, was launched by the National Police in Marbella following the discovery of counterfeit goods on several market stalls. These items were unauthorized reproductions of registered designs from renowned brands, constituting a breach of industrial property rights.
