Shooting Incident at Marbella Padel Club Leaves One Wounded
A man was injured in a shooting incident that occurred in the parking lot of the Real Club de Pádel de Marbella. The victim was targeted multiple times in his lower body. The shooting took place at 2.35pm on Thursday, 2 January 2025.
Details of the Perpetrator and the Incident
The assailant, described as a 1.80 m tall individual with a robust build, was seen wearing a snug black tracksuit. He opened fire on the victim who was present in the club’s parking area. The injured man, of Arab descent and holding German nationality, was shot thrice below the waist. The bullets used were of small calibre, indicating that the shooting could potentially be a warning.
Post-Shooting Scenario and Police Investigation
Following the shooting, the suspected attacker made his escape on a motorbike. Both National and Local Police forces were swiftly deployed in the vicinity, but their attempts to apprehend the suspect have so far been unsuccessful. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Connection with Previous Shooting Incident Under Investigation
Police are currently investigating any potential links between this shooting and a similar incident that occurred on Christmas Eve, where a man of Arab origin was shot in the leg. The investigating officers had interpreted that shooting as a warning as well.
