New Series “Marbella” to Premiere on Movistar Plus+ in April
A picture from the new series set to hit the internet in April has been released. Movistar Plus+, a streaming content platform, has just launched the teaser for its new series “Marbella”, starring Hugo Silva, and has already confirmed the month it will premiere. The new drama is from the creators of “La Unidad” and focuses on the criminal gangs operating on the Costa del Sol.
Hugo Silva Stars as Successful Lawyer in “Marbella”
The protagonist is César (Hugo Silva), a successful lawyer living in Marbella, a city he refers to as the “UN of organized crime”. Movistar Plus+ will release the six-episode series in April, as announced in the recently released preview featuring the first images from the series.
“Marbella” Based on Investigative Report Published in “El País”
The series is based on an investigative report published in April 2021 in the newspaper “El País” by Arturo Lezcano and Nacho Carretero, the latter being the author of the well-known book ‘Fariña’, which was also later adapted into a series. Created by Dani de la Torre (director) and Alberto Marini (screenwriter), who were responsible for “La Unidad”, this new drama will delve into the world of criminal gangs on the Costa del Sol.
