Marbella Designer Launches Art Prints to Aid Ukraine

In response to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Annie Rose, a brand designer from Marbella, Spain, has initiated a unique fundraising effort. She has launched a collection of art prints, the proceeds from which will be directed towards aiding those affected by the conflict in Ukraine.

Art as a Medium of Support

Annie’s decision to use art as a means of support was influenced by her constant engagement with the news coverage of the crisis. She found it difficult to detach herself from the unfolding events and felt a strong urge to contribute in some way. This sentiment was echoed by many on social media, who expressed a desire to help but were unsure of how to go about it.

Prints with a Purpose

Annie believes in the power of art and visual cues, especially during challenging times. She wanted to create something that would allow people to express their solidarity while also raising funds for the cause. The collection includes a variety of prints, catering to diverse tastes. From a powerful ‘No More War’ message to a localized ‘Costa del Sol’ print with two palm trees, there is something for everyone. The most popular print so far is a classic blue-yellow heart.

Purchasing Prints for Ukraine

The prints are available for purchase on Instagram @printsforukraine and Etsy, Support Ukraine Shop/ prints for Ukraine, for a little over €3. Annie reports that they have already sold several prints through their Etsy shop and received numerous direct orders. She expressed her gratitude for everyone who has shown their support by purchasing the prints.

Donations to Unicef

All profits from the Etsy shop are donated to Unicef to help provide essential items for children and their families in Ukraine. Annie emphasizes that even the smallest donation can make a significant impact. The cost of the prints is less than a cup of coffee, yet collectively, customers have raised enough money to fund an entire medical kit for a health worker.

A Mission to Make a Difference

Annie’s project is driven by a mission to demonstrate the power of collective action. She wants to show that even the smallest donation can go a long way if everyone contributes their bit. Through her art prints, she hopes to inspire others to join in the effort to support those affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
