El Pimpi Expands to Marbella
The renowned Malaga restaurant and winery, El Pimpi, is set to open a new branch for the first time in its over 50-year history. The chosen location for this exciting new venture is Marbella.
New El Pimpi at Hotel Puente Romano
The new El Pimpi will be located in the Hotel Puente Romano. Although the new establishment will have a more contemporary feel than the original, it will retain much of its unique charm. Construction work at the hotel has already commenced, with the grand opening expected to take place before the summer season.
El Pimpi: A Popular Spot in Malaga
El Pimpi is a major attraction in Malaga, drawing in both locals and tourists. As reported by Diario Sur newspaper, the expansion was a key goal of its most famous partner, Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas, a native of Malaga.
High Net Worth Patrons Expected at New Location
With its prime location in Marbella, the new restaurant is expected to attract high net worth individuals, either as visitors or residents. The business, which first opened its doors in 1971, humorously derives its name from the English word ‘pimp’. This is a nod to the men who would guide foreign sailors arriving at the port of Malaga to find women of the night.
