High Hotel Occupancy in Marbella during Pilar Bridge
The Pilar or Hispanidad Bridge, from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th October, has resulted in an average hotel occupancy of 90% in Marbella, according to data provided by the City Council through a survey by the Tourism Delegation. It is also assured that a high number of establishments have reached full capacity.
October Continues to Attract Visitors to Marbella
The month of October continues to see a good influx of visitors to Marbella, thus extending the summer season in the municipality for another year. The previous week, the presence of more than 2,000 participants, plus their companions, in the “Marbella 4 Days Walking” event, already contributed to boosting tourism.
Pilar Bridge Attracts Wide Range of Visitors
Now, it has been the Pilar or Hispanidad Bridge, with the holiday on Thursday, that has also led to a wide presence of visitors. According to the survey data compiled by the City Council, the average occupancy in hotels has been 90%, and in many cases, reaching 100%.
National and International Visitors Flock to Marbella
The national client has been the most frequent during these days, although as is the norm in Marbella, the arrival of foreigners is also significant. The good weather has also contributed, with maximum temperatures around 27 degrees and very pleasant minimums.
Latest Statistics Show Increase in Visitors and Overnight Stays
The latest data from the National Institute of Statistics (INE) available so far correspond to the month of August. Then there was an increase in both the arrival of visitors and overnight stays compared to the previous year, also surpassing the figures from before the pandemic.
