Teenage Girl Hospitalised After Car Crash in Marbella

A 14-year-old girl has been hospitalised following a car crash in Marbella. The teenager was travelling in the cargo area of a vehicle that was being driven by a 14-year-old boy. The accident occurred in the Nueva Andalucía area of Marbella on Sunday, 10 December.

Young Driver Flees Scene, Later Turns Himself In

The young male driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. However, he presented himself at the Local Police headquarters the following day, accompanied by a lawyer. It has been reported that the vehicle was carrying four teenagers, aged between 14 and 15, with two of them travelling in the boot area.

Local Residents Alerted by Impact

Local residents were alerted to the incident by a loud bang from the impact at around 8.40pm. The driver and another boy, who was in the passenger seat, allegedly left the scene on foot, leaving the two girls in the cargo area behind. Both girls required medical attention, with one being taken to the Costa del Sol hospital.

Victim Found “Badly Injured” But Conscious

Sources report that the girl taken to the hospital was found “badly injured” and lying motionless on the ground, but conscious. No further details about her injuries or identity have been revealed.

Vehicle Taken Without Permission

The vehicle involved in the accident reportedly belonged to the mother of the other girl in the car. The group of teenagers allegedly took the car without permission while the mother was away.

Investigation Underway

The Local Police have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed on a street with a sharp bend.
