British Murder Squad Arrested in Marbella
In a significant development, Spanish police have apprehended a British murder squad, known for their extreme violence and use of military-grade weaponry. The group was allegedly involved in an attempted hit on three Irishmen in Marbella, including an associate of Dublin boss, Mr Flashy.
Details of the Attempted Hit
The incident occurred on September 20 last year when the three Irishmen were fishing at Turtle Lake, just outside Marbella. The British contract killers, according to the police, were out to ‘settle scores’. Mr Flashy’s associate was shot in the side during the attack. Despite his injuries, he managed to reach a hospital but refused to cooperate with the police.
Seizure of Weapons and Arrests
The National Police conducted raids in Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, and Coin, leading to the seizure of a significant haul of weapons. The alleged contract killers were arrested on February 1. Among the weapons found were a Czech-made Skorpion submachine gun, two Ekol Tuna pistols, a Grand Power handgun, a Smith & Wesson revolver, and 300 rounds of ammunition.
Additional Items Found
In addition to the weapons, the police also discovered bulletproof vests, balaclavas, machetes, tasers, an axe, and cable ties. They also found GPS trackers and a mobile signal blocker. The shooting took place at a picturesque lake above the Aloha golf course, a popular destination for local schools.
Details of the Arrest
The British gangsters were detained at an undisclosed location near Marbella on February 1. During the arrest, one of the men pointed a loaded gun at the police. He dropped the weapon only after the police fired warning shots.
Charges and Investigation
The police stated that the gang’s modus operandi involved tracking their victims’ movements to choose the best time and place for their attacks. The gang now faces charges including attempted murder, unlawful weapon possession, and fraud. The six suspects have been handed over to the courts for further questioning and have been remanded into custody pending an ongoing criminal investigation.
