Marbella Man Arrested for Alleged Gender Violence
In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man was apprehended by the local police in Marbella after he was accused of assaulting his girlfriend and leaving her semi-conscious on a beach. The man is now facing charges related to gender violence. The incident reportedly occurred on August 11 at around 3.40am, as per the information provided by news agency Europa Press.
High-Speed Chase Leads to Arrest
The arrest was made when officers from the Marbella local police force, who were attending to a traffic accident, noticed a vehicle speeding past them. The woman in the passenger seat was seen calling for help and attempting to jump out of the moving vehicle. The police immediately alerted other patrols about the vehicle’s make and model and initiated a search operation. The search was aided by traffic cameras installed in the area. The vehicle was eventually intercepted near the Rio Real beach.
Blood-Stained Clothes and a Semi-Conscious Victim
Upon apprehension, the man was found with blood on his clothes, and blood stains were also visible on the passenger seat of the vehicle. He confessed to the officers that the woman was his girlfriend and that he had left her on a section of the beach after losing his temper. The woman was later found semi-conscious on the nearby beach, with visible signs of physical abuse including bruising, a cut on her chin, and blood-stained clothes. The officers also noticed that she had been dragged from an area where the vehicle’s tire marks were evident.
