Alleged Cat Theft in Marbella Sparks Outrage Among Expat Community

In a shocking incident, a man is suspected of stealing a cat from a family’s doorstep in Marbella. The event has caused a stir among the expat community. The incident was captured on CCTV footage, which was later shared with the Olive Press. The footage shows a heavily tattooed man with a limp, walking down a street in Nueva Andalucia around 12.30pm on September 9.

Unidentified Individual Targets British Expat’s Home

The unidentified man, sporting white sunglasses and a crucifix tattoo on his right calf, was seen heading towards the residence of British expat and mother-of-two, Louise Franklin Pellegrino. In a subsequent clip captured by another CCTV camera, the man is seen carrying Louise’s six-year-old Sphynx cat, Paris, and briskly walking away from the property.

Family Devastated by the Loss of Beloved Pet

Louise, 47, expressed her family’s distress to the Olive Press. She revealed that her children adored Paris and the entire family is devastated by the loss. The footage also shows the man allegedly removing the cat’s collar and tracker, which he then placed on a neighbour’s wall before leaving the area.

Search for Missing Cat Continues

Louise has been tirelessly searching for Paris for 12 days, with little sleep and no leads from the police. She knew her cat had been stolen when she found the tracker on the wall next door. In a bid to ensure Paris’s safe return, Louise is now offering a €3,000 reward.

Sphynx Cats: A Lucrative Market

Louise pointed out that Sphynx cats are often sold online for up to €1,000, and the price can be even higher for kittens or breeding cats. She urges anyone who may have seen Paris to contact her immediately.
