Marbella Town Hall Launches Special Christmas Cleaning Plan
In preparation for the Christmas holidays, Marbella town hall has initiated a special cleaning plan. This includes the daily distribution of 500 additional bins in various locations around the town. The plan also involves the deployment of an extra dozen workers to ensure the town remains clean and tidy during the festive season.
Efforts to Facilitate Waste Disposal During Festive Activities
Diego López, the councillor in charge of the sector, stated that the goal of this initiative is to simplify waste disposal during the numerous activities conducted by the town’s associations and groups. He emphasized the importance of public cooperation in maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces, especially considering the current drought situation which prohibits street sweeping with water hoses.
Municipal Workers to Manage Litter Bins and Clean-up After Events
López further explained that municipal workers will be responsible for distributing the litter bins at festive event sites and collecting them afterwards. They will also replace the bins permanently installed in public areas around the town. Once the festive events are over, these areas will be manually swept and tidied up.
Large-Capacity Containers to Support Waste Management at Group Events
López also mentioned the presence of large-capacity containers in the areas where events are held. These containers will serve as additional support for waste management during events organized by various groups.
