Costa del Voley’s Boys Team Finishes Fourth in Andalusia
The boys’ team of Costa del Voley from Marbella has finished in fourth place among the 16 participating teams in the Andalusian School Age Championship (Cadeba). They led their group in the first phase and also confidently overcame the quarterfinals. This is a commendable result after having been champions of Malaga.
Championship Held at Lepe’s Municipal Sports Complex
The municipal sports complex in Lepe, Huelva, hosted the Cadeba boys’ volleyball championship from April 25 to 28. The Costa del Voley team from La Latina Bilingual School, which qualified as the provincial champion of Malaga, participated and returned with a fourth-place finish in the Andalusian Championship.
Team’s Stellar Performance in Group Stage
The team finished first in Group C after winning all three matches in this initial phase, demonstrating a high level of performance. They defeated Voleibol San Pedro 3-1 in the first match, followed by a 3-0 victory over Huétor Vega, and concluded with a 3-0 triumph over Voleibol Poullet from Puerto de Santa María.
Victory in Quarterfinals, Tough Competition in Semifinals
In the quarterfinals, they faced the second team from Group B, Voleibol Utrera, and defeated them 3-0. However, they met a formidable opponent in the semifinals, Voleibol Palestra from Seville, who denied them a spot in the finals by winning 3-0.
Defeat in Third-Place Match, Mintonette from Almeria Crowned Champions
In the match for third place, they also suffered a 3-0 defeat against Academia Voleibol Saile from Cordoba. The championship in this category was won by Mintonette from Almeria, who triumphed in the grand final against Voleibol Palestra.
Successful Season for Marbella’s Boys’ Team
It has been a successful season for the boys’ team from Marbella, who won the provincial league and are now fourth in Andalusia. It’s worth noting that the team consists of only four second-year players, seven first-year players, and one junior player. They conclude the season with only two losses in a total of 24 official matches.
