New Seaside Promenade Construction Begins in Marbella
Marbella City Council has kick-started the construction of a new section of the seaside promenade in the Las Chapas region. The new development is situated next to the esteemed Don Carlos Hotel. The project is backed by a joint investment of €292,358.53. The announcement was made public by Mayor Angeles Muñoz on Thursday, August 17.
Project of Emblematic Importance
Mayor Muñoz stated that the main goal of the local government is to highlight the importance of the promenade by classifying it as a project of emblematic importance. The Mayor provided specific details about the project in an official statement. The promenade will serve as a link between the El Laurel beach bar and the 5-star Don Carlos Hotel. It will span approximately 200 square meters behind the protective dune barrier.
Project Entrusted to Agua y Energia de Granda S. L.
The project has been entrusted to Agua y Energia de Granda S. L., the selected contractor for the project. The contract awarded to the company amounts to €292,358.53. The funding for this initiative will be jointly provided by Marbella’s City Council and the Malaga Provincial Council. The completion of the new promenade is expected by the end of September.
