Triple Loss for Costa del Voley in a Tough Week
Costa del Voley suffered a triple loss this week, marking a tough weekend for the men’s senior team. The Marbella-based team suffered a five-set defeat against Voleibol Judesa, in addition to losing Manu de Amo and Iván Corrales to injuries for several months. Despite the setbacks, Costa del Voley remains in the middle of the standings with 23 points.
A Week to Forget for Costa del Voley
The week was particularly forgettable for Costa del Voley during their visit to Molina de Segura to face Voleibol Judesa. The Marbella team faced a rival that was lower in the standings and could have been left far behind if they had won the match. The game started with a continuous exchange of points between both teams, but the local team ended up standing out in the middle of the first set, winning 25-18.
Equal Match but Local Team Prevails
The second set was marked by equality again, but it fell on the side of the local team, winning 25-19, almost deciding the match. The Marbella team’s reaction came in the next two sets. In the third, Costa del Voley got back into the game by winning 21-25 and in the fourth, they swept their rival 14-25, presenting their candidacy for victory.
Final Set Sees Murcian Team Triumph
In the final set, the Murcian team managed to win again, 15-7, to take the match. The defeat of Costa del Voley is even harder given the injuries of Manu de Amo and Iván Corrales, who will be away from the courts for several months.
