Serman Triathlon Marbella Women’s Team Clinches Silver at Spanish Duathlon Championship

The women’s team of Serman Triathlon Marbella has secured the runner-up position at the Spanish Duathlon Championship. The team, consisting of África García, Agatha Andrade, Blanca Berlanga, Isabel Cárdenas, and Paula Toro, completed the circuit in an impressive time of 27 minutes and 45 seconds, just 28 seconds behind the winning team.

Impressive Performance at Soria

The Serman Triathlon Marbella team traveled to Soria last weekend to participate in the Spanish Duathlon Championship. The Marbella club shone with its women’s team in the Team Time Trial Talent category. Teams from all over the country gathered in the capital of Soria to compete in the supersprint mode over distances of 2 kilometers running, 5 kilometers cycling, and another 1.5 kilometers running.

Close Competition with Triathlon Albacete Res

The Marbella women’s team, consisting of África García, Agatha Andrade, Blanca Berlanga, Isabel Cárdenas, and Paula Toro, completed the circuit in an impressive time of 27 minutes and 45 seconds, just 28 seconds behind the winning team, the Triathlon Albacete Res, and followed by Triathlon Inforhouses Santiago who took the bronze.

Coach Expresses Pride in Team’s Performance

“We are incredibly proud of our athletes. Although we were very close to gold, this result demonstrates the strength and determination of our team,” stated the team’s coach, Toni Mendaña. The men’s team also performed well, finishing in fifth position, just 20 seconds away from a podium finish.

Participation of Young Athletes

The event also saw the participation of 30 young athletes from Serman Triathlon Marbella in the Open trial, demonstrating the club’s commitment to the development of youth triathlon in Andalusia.

Relay Talent Duathlon Championship

In addition, the Spanish Relay Talent Duathlon Championship took place on Sunday, where the women’s team fought valiantly to finish in a respectable fifth position, completing the trial in one hour, 17 minutes, and 32 seconds. The men’s team finished in 13th place, showing effort and dedication.
